The initiative applied computer simulation to map, in detail, how people, equipment, and materials move throughout the factory during production.<br\/><br\/>The goal was clear: reduce unnecessary internal movements and optimize the supply flow of the production line, preparing the plant&#8217;s structure for future expansion. By simulating the movement of operators and forklifts across the factory floor, the team found that time lost to internal travel was higher than expected \u2014 a quiet bottleneck with a direct impact on productivity.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><h4>How Digital Twin Works in Practice<\/h4><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The technology behind the project is the Digital Twin: a virtual replica of the factory&#8217;s processes and production flow, built from mathematical models and real operational data. With this replica, it&#8217;s possible to test different scenarios \u2014 new layouts, supply routes, equipment placement \u2014 without interrupting actual production and without the risk of investing in physical changes that don&#8217;t deliver the expected return.<br\/><br\/>This is one of the key advantages of computer simulation: it turns decisions that once relied on intuition or trial and error into data-driven decisions, tested virtually before any physical change is made to the plant.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><h4>Results: A Centralized Logistics Hub and Productivity Gains<\/h4><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Putting the project into practice at LEAX do Brasil resulted in the creation of a centralized logistics hub, consolidating the factory&#8217;s supply flow into a single strategic point.
