Leax do Brasil, in partnership with Senai, successfully completed a specialized energy efficiency consultancy within the Brasil Mais Produtivo (B+P) Program, a free federal government initiative launched in 2023 to support micro, small, and medium-sized industrial companies in process optimization and competitiveness enhancement. The certificate received confirms Leax’s active participation between September and December 2025, totaling 116 hours of in-person assistance. This period involved a comprehensive diagnosis of energy consumption, identification of waste, and implementation of practical measures that generated cost savings, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and greater sustainable productivity.
The Brasil Mais Produtivo Program, coordinated by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC) in partnership with Senai, Sebrae, ABDI, Finep, Embrapii, and BNDES, aims to drive Brazil’s industrial transformation. In the energy efficiency axis – the focus of Leax’s consultancy – the main aspects considered include:
- Detailed mapping of historical energy consumption in major factory end-uses (machines, lighting, ventilation, and compressed air systems);
- Analysis of inefficient equipment for adjustment, replacement, or optimization;
- Planning and execution of actions to reduce waste (compressed air leaks, excessive lighting, thermal losses);
- Implementation of continuous monitoring tools, such as sensors, meters, and energy management software;
- Evaluation of economic impact (cost reduction), environmental impact (CO2 emissions decrease), and operational impact (productivity gains).
These elements are assessed by specialized Senai consultants who provide personalized support and monitor implementation, ensuring measurable goals are achieved without compromising production.
Rones Romualdo, Leax employee who accompanied the analyses, highlights:
“During the analyses, we managed to identify several points that went unnoticed in daily operations but had a significant impact on energy consumption.”
At Leax do Brasil, the process was led by consultant Nathalia Mendes Bonfim, who delivered outstanding work. One of the most significant examples was adjusting the air compressor. The equipment was operating at 8 bar when the actual operational need was only 7 bar. This simple correction already brought a substantial improvement in compressor efficiency. Additionally, by eliminating leaks throughout the compressed air network, it was possible to shut down one of the two compressors and operate with just one, without affecting the production process.
The main focus of the consultancy was the compressed air system, with a goal of reducing energy consumption by 10%. Leax achieved this target practically at zero cost, simply by fixing leaks, replacing connections already available in stock, and enabling a control system that GROB machines already had. Simple adjustments, such as re-tightening and improving sealing, also contributed significantly to the outcome. These actions demonstrate how seemingly small details can generate relevant savings when analyzed with proper methodology and specialized support.
For Leax do Brasil, this consultancy reinforces its commitment to modern manufacturing practices, aligning energy efficiency with the production of high-quality automotive components, such as propeller shafts and gears. The outcome is a more agile operation with lower environmental impact and higher profitability, contributing to the company’s sustainable competitiveness in the Brazilian automotive sector.
The Brasil Mais Produtivo Program represents a valuable opportunity for companies seeking intelligent and responsible growth. Through partnerships like Senai’s, it is possible to identify and correct inefficiencies that go unnoticed in daily operations, transforming them into real gains in competitiveness. Leax’s experience shows that energy efficiency is not an additional cost but a strategic investment that delivers immediate and lasting returns.
In a context of constantly rising energy costs and pressure to reduce emissions, initiatives like this are essential for the national industry. By successfully completing the consultancy, Leax do Brasil not only meets environmental goals but also strengthens its position as a reference in efficient and sustainable management. The certificate received is more than recognition: it is proof that the company is prepared for future challenges, with optimized processes and an integrated vision of productivity and responsibility.
The Brasil Mais Produtivo Program continues to offer support to companies of all sizes, with a focus on measurable results and quick returns. For Leax, the work carried out in 2025 was an important milestone that will serve as the basis for continuous new improvements. The partnership with Senai and the internal team’s involvement show that, with dedication and methodology, significant advances are possible without large initial investments.
Leax do Brasil’s trajectory in this program is an inspiring example for the industrial sector. With 116 hours of in-person assistance, the company achieved concrete results that directly impact daily operations: lower energy consumption, reduced operational costs, and greater sustainability. Initiatives like this reinforce the importance of paying close attention to details and investing in training and specialized consultancy.
Leax do Brasil reaffirms its commitment to operational excellence and sustainable development. The certificate from the Brasil Mais Produtivo Program is an important step in this journey, which continues with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
